On January 8, Shanghai Education and Guidance Center for Autistic Children was established in Baoshan District. It was the first education and guidance center for children with autism founded by the provincial administrative department of education in the country. Located in Peizhi School of Baoshan District, the center was guided by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and administrated by the Education Bureau of Baoshan District. It aimed to improve the professional guidance and services for special education and provide more targeted educational and related services for children with autism.
