01 "Charming Cherry Blossom at Nighttime " - nighttime cherry blossom viewing activities

With the story of "Butterflies' Love for Cherry Blossom" as the main theme, a dreamlike scene where light and shadow intertwine with fragrance will be presented. Through aesthetic lighting, a romantic and enchanting atmosphere for nighttime cherry blossom viewing will be created. This will be combined with cultural activities such as anime/manga (two-dimensional) culture, traditional Chinese cultural activities, and intangible cultural heritage displays, making it a 'must-visit' attraction for tourists.

02 "Enjoy the Fun of Cherry Blossom" – Gucun Park's Annual Pass 2.0 Upgraded Version, the "Cherry Blossom Enjoyment Card," and the "Cherry Blossom Passport" will be launched for sale.

On the occasion of the 15th Shanghai Cherry Blossom Festival, a limited number of upgraded "Cherry Blossom Enjoyment Cards" and "Cherry Blossom Passports" will be released simultaneously. The "Cherry Blossom Enjoyment Card" offers multiple exclusive park privileges, including fast-track park entry, in-park shopping and consumption discounts, accommodation discounts at Hengshan Park Hotel, and discount partnerships with park attractions. The "Cherry Blossom Passport" aims to integrate pan-regional tourism and commercial resources by combining discount benefits for popular attractions in Baoshan, privileges for consumption in major commercial districts, accommodation discounts at hotels within the Shanghai International Cruise Tourism Resort, and discounted cruise tickets into one comprehensive offering.

03 "The Roots of Cherry Blossom" - A Review of the 30th Anniversary of the Construction of Shanghai Green Belt Ring

In 2025, marking the 30th anniversary of the construction of the Shanghai Green Belt Ring, Gucun Park—a gem along the green belt—will actively participate in the inaugural "Vibrant Green Belt Life Festival" with the theme "Symbiosis and Sharing". During the cherry blossom season, the park will host a series of exhibitions showcasing the achievements of the green belt's three-decade journey, enabling visitors to explore its development stories and embrace its ecological philosophy while enjoying the blooms.

04 "Elegant Cherry Blossom" - a series of themed activities of culture and tourism

Four themes with a total of 18 sub-activities will be launched, including "Cherry Blossom-infused Journey"(themed tourism products), "Elegant Cherry Blossom" (cultural-tourism events), "Enchanted Cherry Blossom Wonderland" (family-fun activities), and "Dazzling Cherry Blossom Splendor" (exhibition series). Customized springtime outing routes in Baoshan and the 'Encountering Spring' tourism product package will be introduced to unleash the potential of tourism consumption; The Baoshan session opening of City Aesthetic Education Day, part of Shanghai Citizens Art Festival, will be held. Cultural tourism activities, including e-sports events, "Baoshan Gifts" selection activities, intangible cultural heritage aesthetic education experience displays, Baoshan Star Stage performances, and "Stories under the Cherry Blossom Trees" parent-child reading sessions, will be launched. 05 "Beauty Because of You & Cherry Blossom" - Women's 10-kilometer Elite Race

The 2025 Shanghai Cherry Blossom Festival -Women's 10-kilometer Elite Race will be held. This event will further cultivate the core concept of the "Cherry Blossom + Road Running + Women", creating a stage for women to shine, and highlighting the theme of "Athletic Women, Fashion and Beauty, Charm of Sports".

06 "Cloud of Cherry Blossom Splendor" - a series of media theme activities

Leveraging SMG's promotional resources and various media platforms, a series of online and offline promotional activities will be held. Three dedicated slow live-streaming stations have been set up in Gucun Park. Real-time broadcasts of cherry blossoms will be launched on platforms such as WeChat, Video Account, and TikTok's "Shanghai Baoshan" official account, showcasing the park's stunning spring scenery to a global online audience. A media check-in point will be set up at Gate 2 of Gucun Park to promote the "Shanghai Baoshan" and "Baoshan Media Center" apps to visitors. By leveraging the Cherry Blossom Festival's branding appeal, enable more citizens to learn about and fall in love with Baoshan, thus continuously enhancing the region's reputation. The Baoshan Media Center App will continue to expand the scenario-based application of the "Suishen Code"(Shanghai Health Code), ensuring data-driven visitor flow predictions and streamlining park entry procedures for a more efficient tourist experience.

07 "Cherry Blossom-Cruise Synergy" - Cherry Blossom Viewing Activities for Cruise Passengers and Crew

During the cherry blossom festival, the Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal will welcome 2 transit cruise calls (visiting vessels) and conduct 16 homeport turnaround operations. A dedicated cherry blossom festival shuttle bus service will be launched to connect the cruise terminal with the main venue of the festival, fostering a "Cherry blossom-Cruise synergy". Firstly, cherry blossom viewing experiences will be offered to foreign tourists on port-call cruises at the cruise terminal, enhancing the international influence of the cherry blossom festival; Secondly, special products for the cruise crew to enjoy the cherry blossom journey will be created, enriching their leisure life ashore while expanding their onshore consumption. Thirdly, for homeport cruise tourists, shore excursion products that integrate elements of the cherry blossom festival and sunrise viewing will be launched, with diversified options such as half-day, full-day, and two-day tours, linking cruise passengers and stimulating local cultural tourism consumption.

08 "All in Blossom" - Cherry Blossom Festival Shopping Spree

Longhu Baoshan Tianjie(Paradise Walk) will partner with Gucun Park to host the Shanghai debut of a trendy cherry blossom IP, creating a popular landmark. Brand-exclusive discounts will be offered with cherry blossom festival tickets, alongside activities including a traditional Chinese-style cherry blossom market and Hanfu (Han Chinese clothing) parades. Key commercial enterprises within the district will be mobilized to participate in the "cherry blossom economy." A special Cherry Blossom Metro Line will be introduced on Line 7, connecting to business districts along its route. Focusing on themes like cherry blossom season, International Women's Day, and spring shopping, conducting cherry blossom-themed marketing activities that integrate culture, tourism, commerce, and sports. By fully leveraging the cherry blossom festival's ability to attract visitors, new consumption scenarios will be cultivated, further enhancing Baoshan's image as a livable, tourist-friendly, and shopping-friendly city.

09 "Cherry Blossom Market Imagery" - "Gu Xiaoying" IP Cultural and Creative Market Series Activities in Gucun Park

The Shanghai Cherry Blossom Festival will be promoted in key locations such as airports, high-speed rail stations, and Nanjing Road, with the grand launch of the "Gu Xiaoying" IP image, further enhancing the festival's brand influence. Collaborative products with Zhiben (a cosmetics brand) and Yanzhong (a beverages brand) will be launched for the cherry blossom festival, achieving a synergistic effect of "1+1>2" through joint display and sales on their platforms. Meanwhile, the Cherry Blossom Culture and Art Exhibition Hall, along with the cultural and creative market located within the park, will exhibit and offer for sale both online and offline the "Gu Xiaoying" IP series, cherry blossom-inspired cultural and creative products, and limited-edition merchandise from the cherry blossom festival. Additionally, Gucun Park will introduce a new cherry blossom-themed ice cream, further enhancing the "cherry blossom economy" effect.

10 "Cherry Blossom Explorer" - Cherry Blossom Science & Live-Streaming Events

Fifteen representative cherry blossom trees will be carefully selected, and check-in points will be set up. Visitors can search for any five of these cherry blossom trees, take photos, and share them on social media platforms such as WeChat Moments, TikTok, and Xiaohongshu to participate in the event, share cherry blossom science knowledge, and win exquisite cultural and creative prizes or in-park consumption vouchers. Additionally, the video account of Gucun Park will host online live streams of cherry blossom viewing, showcasing the park's breathtaking 1,000-mu cherry blossom display, the rich cultural significance of cherry blossoms accumulated over 15 years, popular science facts about cherry blossoms, and the stories behind them. Viewers will be able to watch the cherry blossoms online and participate in interactive activities to win prizes.

11 "Chinese Anime + Cherry Blossom" - Bilibili Chinese Anime Cherry Blossom Festival IP Collaboration Events

In collaboration with Bilibili, popular Chinese anime characters from series such as "Link Click," "The Demon's List," and "The Long Ballad" will be featured through inflatable models, DP photo-op spots, stamp collection points, and other offline activities. Exclusive "Bilibili Creators' Showcase – Traditional Chinese Dance" performances and daily cosplay parades by IP characters will be organized, creating a unique "Chinese anime + Cherry Blossom" IP and enhancing the festival's appeal among teenagers.

12 "Spring Awakens with Cherry Blossom" - Photography and Videography Contest

Photographs and short videos capturing the stunning cherry blossoms, joyful cherry blossom viewing experiences, civilized behaviors during the event, and other scenes at Gucun Park will be collected. The winning entries will be selected by a panel of judges and subsequently published across multiple platforms, allowing a wider audience to appreciate the beautiful moments of cherry blossom season and feel its endless charm.

Over 15 years of careful cultivation, Gucun Park boasts the largest planting area (more than 1,600 mu), the most varieties (120), and the highest quantity (more than 16,000 trees) of cherry blossoms in Shanghai. With 15 years of craftsmanship, the park's cherry blossom landscape offers a different view at every step. This year, coinciding with the 15th Shanghai Cherry Blossom Festival, the park is not only striving to create stunning cherry blossom displays but also launching a new nighttime cherry blossom viewing activity. Under the cover of night, through the ingenious projection of light and shadow and the delicate presentation of stories, visitors are invited to encounter the most exquisite cherry blossoms and embrace the most romantic spring.

Based on the existing supporting service facilities, four ancillary activities are organized to cater to tourists' needs for "dining, accommodation, transportation, recreation, shopping, enjoyment, and convenience": gourmet cuisine, leisure and entertainment, nature exploration, and holiday lodging.

Gourmet cuisine

Hengshan Park Hotel, the on-site restaurant, and the Cherry Blossom Barbecue Garden will jointly provide dining services. Additionally, the park has launched a gourmet food street to cater to the diverse food demands of visitors during the cherry blossom festival. At the same time, the "Gucun Park Coffee Carnival" will be held, inviting well-known coffee brands to offer cherry blossom-themed coffees, allowing visitors to enjoy a wonderful time amidst the fragrance of flowers and coffee.

Leisure and entertainment

The children's playground offers 14 amusement attractions, such as a merry-go-round, bumper cars, hurricane flying chairs, a pirate ship, and Ferris wheels, among others, offering diverse choices for families on parent-child tours. Paintball shooting, kayaking, electric cruise and other activities that integrate leisure, sports, fun and entertainment in the park are also quite popular.

Nature Exploration

Oriental Bird World is inhabited by more than 1,000 rare birds of more than 60 species from all over the world. The main scenic spots include the Peacock Flying Southeast Show, the Bird Knowledge Center, the Parrot World, Flamingo Bay, Ostrich Garden and other exhibition areas. The "cage-free and net-free, positioned free-range" approach presents the bird world to visitors more fascinatingly. At the same time, Dinosaur Park has the largest dinosaur model in Shanghai, showing more than 60 dinosaur scenes, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the charm of nature; The free Paleontological Museum displays the mysteries of nature and ancient civilizations through various animal models, dinosaur fossils, and other exhibits.

Transportation

1. Subway: the main Metro Lines are Line 7 and Line 15, with Gucun Park Station adjacent to Gucun Park Gate 2, serving as the primary mode of transportation for citizens to enjoy spring and flower viewing.

2. Ground Public Transportation: there are many mature ground bus routes around Gucun Park, including:

Gate 1: along Hutai Road, there are Bus No. 963, Bus No. 528, etc., which can serve tourists in the downtown area and the northern area of Baoshan.

Gate 2: along Bao'an Highway, there are Baoshan Bus lines such as Bus No. 1 and No. 811. Along Luxiang Road and Jingpohu Road, there are additional Baoshan Bus Lines, including Bus No. 3, No. 29, No. 38, No. 50, No. 527, No. 1604, and No. 1605. These bus lines can connect to Metro Line 1 and Line 3, serving tourists in the Songbao and Jinqiu areas of Baoshan.

During weekend peak hours, citizens are advised to prioritize green travel with public transportation. In addition, approximately 6,000 parking spaces are available within and surrounding the park, and parking guidance systems are installed throughout the park area, enabling timely adjustments to travel routes based on the provided prompts.

Enhancing capacity on existing lines

1. Depending on passenger flow, the departure interval will be shortened appropriately on weekdays. To facilitate tourists who need to taking Metro Line 1 and Line 3 and residents of Songbao area to go to Gucun Park, the frequencies of Baoshan Bus. No 1, No. 3, No. 29, No. 527 and No. 811 along Bao'an Highway (stop) will be appropriately increased. In order to facilitate tourists from the city center and the northern part of Baoshan to Gucun Park, the frequencies of Bus No. 963 and No. 528 along Hutai Road have been increased.

2. During holidays and weekends, additional capacity will be deployed to meet the demand of high passenger flow. In response to peak passenger demand during concentrated periods, Shanghai Baoshan Bus Public Traffic Co., Ltd. will enhance the capacity of existing routes in the area, such as Bus No. 527, by adding four vehicles to each line and increasing departure frequencies.

3. A combination of regular and customized buses will be deployed to launch an integrated shuttle service connecting with Bus Line 1. Direction: starting from the first and last stations of Taihe Road and Wenchuan Highway, passing through Taihe Road, Taihe West Road and Hutai Highway to Gucun Park (Hutai Highway) Station. The return journey starts from Gucun Park (Hutai Highway) and passes through Hutai Highway, Gubei Road, Diantai Road, Diantai South Road, Guxin Road, Gutai Road, Taihe West Road and Taihe Road to the first and last stations of Taihe Road and Wenchuan Highway. Bus schedule: Monday to Friday: 4 services per day expected. Saturdays, Sundays and statutory holidays: 6-8 services per day expected, with dynamic adjustments based on passenger flow. Metro linkage

Gucun Park Station currently has Metro Line 7 and Metro Line 15, Line 7 operates with one major and one minor route, with trains departing approximately every 9 minutes; Line 15 operates with one major and one minor route, with trains departing every 10-12 minutes. To cope with higher passenger flow on weekends, Line 7 will adjust to a major route or a combination of three-major-and-one-minor route, while Line 15 will increase the frequencies of major route services. Additionally, the Metro will maintain additional capacity, with Gucun Park coordinating with Line 7 and Line 15 stations to provide real-time passenger flow data and allow for necessary preparation time. The metro operation company will dynamically adjust service schedules based on passenger demand to ensure increased capacity during peak hours.
