2024 Cherry Blossom Festival Promotion Activity in Baoshan Counterpart Area Was Held
In order to help consolidate and expand the achievements of poverty alleviation, effectively link up rural revitalization, promote the development of tourism in Baoshan counterpart areas, and expand the awareness of counterpart areas in Baoshan, the 2024 Cherry Blossom Festival cultural and tourism promotion activities of Baoshan counterpart area was held in Yingyue Academy Square, Gucun Park from March 22 to 25.
At the event site, cultural tourism promotion teams from Weixi County, Diqing Prefecture of Yunnan Province, Luoping County, Qujing City, and Yecheng County of Xinjiang, which are counterpart assistance areas of Baoshan District, performed live song and dance performances and cultural tourism promotion. Among them, in the special session of Yecheng tourism promotion activity, “Momuk Senem”, “Top Bowl Dance” and “Young Man under Kunlun Mountain” and many other wonderful performances of Xinjiang traditional folk songs and dances were welcomed and praised by the audience, and the prize-winning quiz interspersed in the middle was full of fun.
A promotional film of Yecheng tourism shows the beauty of Yecheng to the fullest. Yecheng County is known as “the hometown of walnuts, pomegranates, jade, and songs and dances in China”. There are far-reaching cultural tourism resources such as K2, the second highest peak in the world, Xitiya Mystery City, Walnut Seven Immortals Garden, which is known as the “Walnut King in China”, Chessboard Thousand Buddhas Cave on the precipice of the river valley, and the vast and shocking Xinjiang–Tibet railway.
Yecheng is rich in tourism resources and unique in tourism products. At present, Yecheng County has developed dozens of tourism products, and jade, walnut, pomegranate, and fruit vinegar products are popular among tourists inside and outside Xinjiang. The tourism promotion activity focuses on the tourism promotion of the Xinjiang–Tibet railway. The Xinjiang–Tibet railway is the highest highway in the world, with an average elevation of over 4,500 meters, passing through Pamirs, Kunlun Mountains, Karakoram Mountains, Gangdise Mountains, Himalayas and other mountains. Snow-capped mountains and glaciers, sacred mountains and lakes, ancient temples, canyon forests, desert Gobi, grassland wetlands, ancient city dwellings... Countless magnificent western scenery and peculiar landforms are gathered in this “Skyway” and Yecheng, the “first city in Kunlun” at the end of the “Skyway”.
Ms. Su, who watched the promotion meeting, said: “I have always yearned for Xinjiang. The natural beauty and customs of Yecheng sound very attractive. Our family has planned for the travel.”
On one side of the stage, various counterpart support places launched tourism products, handicrafts, and non-legacy products, and set up stalls to promote them at the event site. Participating travel agencies actively promoted tourism products with different routes and characteristics, which attracted many tourists to stop and purchase. An interactive experience exhibition area has also been set up at the scene to display ethnic costumes or non-legacy cultural products in counterpart areas. Visitors can take photos in ethnic costumes and get exquisite souvenirs by scanning the QR code to follow the publicity platform in counterpart areas.
It is understood that this year is the 27th year of Shanghai’s aid to Xinjiang and the 14th year of Baoshan District’s counterpart support to Yecheng County. Baoshan District focuses on the actual needs of Yecheng, and carries out targeted and precise assistance. This time, taking “attracting customers into Yecheng” and “sending customers into Kazak” as a breakthrough, Baoshan takes tourism aid construction as one of the key points to promote local employment, consumption, and industrial development in Yecheng, and continues to support the construction of Yecheng, Kashgar and Xinjiang, forming a harmonious situation of family and ethnic integration in Shanghai and Xinjiang.
