Meet the enchanting cherry blossoms in Baoshan
The annual “Cherry Blossom Run” is held again at Gucun Park, offering the romance of spring and blossoms of life. On March 10th, 2024 Shanghai Cherry Blossom Festival Women’s 10km Elite Competition was held in Gucun Park, Baoshan District. More than 3,500 runners from all over the world hit the “Enchanting Cherry Blossom” track in Baoshan, enjoying the romance of spring. Their running was accompanied by light, dreams, and love, making their 2024 more exciting and passionate.
At 7:20 in the morning, the activity started on Yuelin Avenue on the west side of Gate 2 of Gucun Park. The official attending the opening ceremony whistled for the competition. With the whistle, the runners cheered and started from the starting point, and ran into spring on the track of Gucun Park with blooming cherry blossoms.
This competition integrated fashion life elements such as culture, tourism, and beauty into the whole process, offering more sense of gain to the participants. Focusing on guarding the safety of the competition and ensuring the experience of the athletes, the organizing committee provided a strong guarantee for the competition in the aspects of competition, medical care, security, and transportation.
Founded in 2017, Shanghai Cherry Blossom Festival Women’s 10km Elite Competition deeply integrates sports with tourism, leisure, fashion, culture, public welfare and other fields, creates a brand project of mass sports events in Shanghai, continuously polishes city business cards, adds new kinetic energy to urban development, and gradually expands the influence of the event. Among this year’s contestants, there are more than 800 runners from the Yangtze River Delta and other provinces and cities. This year’s Cherry Blossom Run has the highest number of participants in all previous years, with 500 men speed setters, which further reflects the society’s care for women.
