In 2023, the project invested 3 million RMB Shanghai-Yunnan funds, and planned to build about 3,000 meters of bluestone bricks and colorful pedestrian walkways and 2,000 meters of wooden pedestrian walkways. Since its trial operation in September this year, Baojia Village has attracted more than 50,000 tourists, directly driving 90 local villagers to start businesses and find jobs. Up until now, the operating income has reached more than 730,000 RMB, and the village collective income has reached 316,000 RMB, which is expected to reach more than 500,000 RMB by the end of the year, increasing the average household income of Baojia Village. Through capital investment, the mass public were called on to participate in the construction. 43 houses were renovated, 3 new public toilets were built, 15,000 square meters of roads and 1.2 kilometers of colorful walkways were renovated in the village, greatly improving the infrastructure and the appearance of the village. Li Chenhao learned about the basic supporting facilities and development and construction of Baojia Village in detail, and pointed out that it is necessary to take into account the local agricultural characteristics, further consolidate the infrastructure construction, better combine market-oriented methods to manage and construct, deepen the exploration of innovative formats, and earnestly help people increase income, and it is necessary to promote the mechanism by drawing upon the experience gained on key points, form a radiation-driven effect, effectively improve quality and efficiency of rural development.

Strawberry projects also extend the industrial chain of increasing income and getting rich. In Daibu Town, Huize County, Li Chenhao and his party inspected the strawberry industry projects on the spot. In 2023, the project invested 9.2 million RMB Shanghai-Yunnan funds, and increased the strawberry planting area by more than 2,000 mu. Through the implementation of the “double binding” mechanism among farmers and enterprises, the people gained more than 2 million RMB by transferring land. At present, through industrial development, Daibu Town has solved the employment problem of more than 1,500 people in the ambient areas through local worker mechanism, effectively increased the income of people out of poverty, strengthened the village collective economy, and solved the problem of local worker employment. Li Chenhao pointed out that it is necessary to fully open up the upstream and downstream of strawberry planting industry and provide more jobs for the surrounding villagers, and it is necessary to further improve the professional level of strawberry planting, processing, and packaging, continuously improve the value of agricultural products, and better help people increase their income.

In the planning hall of the western new town in Huize County, Li Chenhao learned more about poverty alleviation and relocation. The planning hall re-embodies the historical pictures of the county’s party members and cadres, who enter villages and households to encourage and assist the mass public. The construction team speeded up the resettlement day and night, the poor people moved from mountains to new homes, industries were developed to ensure employment, and the rural areas were integrated into the urban life. It represents the practices of the party and its members at all levels to help the mass public get lifted from poverty in the new era, and their spirit inspired Huize people to make new achievements and create greater glories in the new journey of building a well-off society in an all-round way.

In Fuxing Street Industrial Demonstration Park, Xuanwei City, Li Chenhao learned in detail about the practical measures taken by the park to promote industrial development based on local conditions and take multiple measures to promote industrial integration and development. The park has invested 38 million RMB Shanghai-Yunnan funds. This year, the industrial park has introduced five leading enterprises and expert teams including Beijing Ouzhong Xinhelin Fruit Industry Technology Co., Ltd. and Southwest Forestry University expert team by means of technology shareholding, investment and construction, leasing operation, and variety cultivation, and adopted four modes of mutual development including asset income mode, model award mode, industry feedback mode, and post development mode, to achieve mutual prosperity and win-win cooperation for enterprises, village collectives, and farmers. More than 36,000 farmers have been included in the mutual development, 13,000 of whom have been lifted out of poverty. Li Chenhao pointed out that characteristic industries should continue to be refined, continuously strengthen scientific and technological empowerment, better enhance product value, and build brand image. He hoped that the park could continue to do a good job to support all parties, better form a radiation leading role, effectively promote the employment of local people, and continuously generate income and increase income.

Luoping County enjoys the reputation of “Hometown of Little Yellow Ginger”, which has been planted for more than 300 years. It is a well-known ginger producing area in China and the core producing area of high-quality little yellow ginger in the world. In Lashan Street, Luoping County, Li Chenhao investigated Qingcaotang Cold Storage in Luoping Little Yellow Ginger Digital Economy Industrial Park, and Dingtai Food Development Co., Ltd., and learned more about the planting of little yellow ginger, intelligent digital trading center, and e-commerce supply chain construction. 17 million RMB of Shanghai-Yunnan funds have been invested in Qingcaotang Cold Storage in Lashan Street, and two cold storage projects of 17,000 cubic meters have been implemented, which can accommodate 8,500 tons of fresh ginger for cold storage and preservation at the same time. The 100,000-ton little yellow ginger cold chain logistics project in Luoping little yellow ginger Digital Economy Industrial Park plans to invest 240.74 million RMB with a land area of 76.3 mu. Dingtai Ginger Products Deep Processing Project was introduced in 2019, with a total investment of 140 million RMB, which can offer jobs to 120 people and assist 5,000 households to plant ginger. This year, the average household income can be increased by more than 12,000 RMB, and the output value can be realized by 150 million RMB. Li Chenhao pointed out that it is necessary to further combine “smart agriculture” with digital industry, improve cold chain warehousing and urban-rural distribution, and make better use of market-oriented methods to broaden sales channels and improve product value. It is necessary to make good use of the advantages of Luoping’s geographical resources, combine with the planting of little yellow ginger, further improve the service network, and better increase farmers’ income and empower regional economic development with the development of agricultural products processing industrial clusters.

In Datong Street, Shizong County, Li Chenhao investigated the supporting projects of Chinese herbal medicine planting industry. The supporting projects of Chinese herbal medicine planting industry have invested 15.5 million RMB Shanghai-Yunnan funds. In 2023, 200 mu of “Baoqisanqi”, an herbal medicine to cure cardiovascular disease, 200 mu of Danshen root and other Chinese herbal medicines were planted experimentally. After the completion of the project, the base can opearte for more than 80,000 labor days every year, and at the same time, it can drive the surrounding farmers to develop characteristic agriculture through land transfer, and realize the annual income increase of each household of not less than 6,000 RMB, benefiting 722 households with 2,627 people, including 37 households with 146 people lifted out of poverty. Through the implementation of the project, the local economic and social development has been strongly promoted, the surrounding agricultural infrastructure has been improved, the land transfer income and labor employment income of the masses have been continuously increased, and the village collective economy of 11 villages (communities) has been further supported and strengthened. Li Chenhao pointed out that it is necessary to further improve the operational cooperation mode of planting Chinese herbal medicines, improve unified management, better enhance the standardization level, and increase the added value. It is necessary to empower local development with industrial prosperity, better expand jobs, increase farmers’ income, enhance product value, and help and empower rural revitalization and all-round development.

During the investigation, Li Chenhao also visited the households lifted out of poverty, talked about their daily life and current situation, and inquired about their needs and demands in life in detail. Li Chenhao pointed out that in recent years, Qujing Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government have attached great importance to social construction, continuously improved people’s livelihood, optimized and strengthened poverty alleviation, urban and rural appearance, and cause of people’s livelihood, and leveled-up people’s living standards. Li Chenhao told them to care for their health, look after their families, and continue to create more wealth value with their efforts.
