The pace of Shanghai’s resumption of business and market is accelerating. Shopping centers and department stores will resume offline business in an all-around way after June 1. Many shopping centers in Baoshan are speeding up preparations for business and market resumption. At the same time, in the first batch of shopping malls that resumed offline business, more and more shops opened their doors to provide consumers with richer shopping choices.

Baoshan Wanda Plaza is the first large-scale commercial complex in Baoshan to resume offline business. Since the plaza began to resume offline business on May 22, 55 stores have reopened one after another, including catering, retail, and other business formats. Among them, catering accounts for 90%, covering unique local cuisines, snacks, milk tea, drinks, etc., providing take-out and self-pickup services.

To ensure strict monitoring of the visitors, the plaza staff posted the “venue codes” at the entrance and installed “digital sentinels”. Customers need to scan the code and measure the body temperature before entering with the shopping card issued by the community.

Selling cuisines familiar to Shanghainese, Shanghai First Foodhall in Baoshan Wanda Plaza has resumed some offline business. Many commodities such as luncheon meat, plum, peeled walnuts, duck in brown sauce, sausage, and steamed gluten, which are popular among citizens, can be bought.

In front of a halal restaurant in Wanda Golden Street, Baoshan, mutton skewers have become popular. In addition to take-out, many are picked up by customers on site. Customers can place the order after scanning the “venue code”. Although everything can only be done outside the restaurant, let alone eat on the spot. However, watching the steaming mutton skewers being grilled and packed, many customers can still feel the long-lost hustle and bustle and the accelerated recovery of the city. “I stayed at home because of the lockdown for about two months. It’s my first time out, and I am excited to see this restaurant open. I’ve wanted to eat mutton skewers for a long time. I’ll bring some for my roommates too.” Shi Guangxin, a citizen, said.

The resumption rate of shops in Baoshan Wanda Plaza is 30%. It is estimated that the number of shops that will resume work will increase to more than 120 on June 1, accounting for more than 70% of the total. To welcome the upcoming guests, the staff of some brand shops are busy rearranging the display shelves these days. “We have to remove all the previous spring clothes and some winter clothes and replace them with our summer clothes. In addition, the latest footwear also needs to be put on the shelves.” Yao Yao, the manager of a sports brand, told the reporter.

At present, Baoshan Wanda Plaza is open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. The regular nucleic acid sampling site set outside the square brings convenience for the daily nucleic acid testing needs of employees and consumers back to work. With the improvement of the epidemic prevention and control situation, the passenger flow of Baoshan Wanda Plaza has increased from 500 people on the first day of resuming offline operation to about 1,500 people every day now.

According to the relevant person in charge of Baoshan Wanda Plaza, the plaza would open one more entrance on June 1. It will also install enough “digital sentinels” at the entrances and the basement and post “venue codes” in front of every shop to ensure the smooth operation of both epidemic prevention and shopping. “The first step for consumers to enter shops is to scan the ‘venue code’. Our current limit for shopping is 2-3 persons per 100 square meters. It will be increased to 5 when the plaza accepts large crowds. A series of disinfection will be carried out before the entering of each batch of customers.
