Based on inheriting and tapping rich cultural resources of Jiangnan, the Arts Exchange keeps enhancing regional cultural exchange and innovation; while the Exhibition displays more than 100 calligraphy works deeply made by Hui Kaiyong in recent years, including the works written in regular script, cursive script, seal  and official script.

Titled the Master of Wenming House, Hui is President of Binhai County Special Education School, a member of Jiangsu Provincial Calligraphers Association, and President of Binhai County Educational Calligraphy and Painting Institute of Jiangsu Province. "Hui's calligraphy is popular in Yancheng, Jiangsu, the style of which has affected a lot of people. This Exhibition held in Shanghai represents not only a business card of Binhai, but also an opportunity for us to learn more," said the associate professor from Nanjing University of the Arts.

According to a member of Jiangsu Provincial Calligraphy Education Committee, "I think Binhai and Shanghai have a bond because of “hai” (sea in English). Taking this Exhibition as an opportunity, I hope to learn from masters in calligraphy and painting from Shanghai and famous Shanghai-style calligraphers and painters."

As a famous city of art, calligraphy and painting, Binhai owns profound historical and cultural heritage; and Baoshan belongs to the cultural circle of Jiangnan, so they both have the cultural characteristics and attributes of Jiangnan. Thus, the Exhibition will further increase the cultural integration and innovation between the two sides.

"The two sides are close in geography, relations with people, culture and context. We believe that the Arts Exchange will further deepen the confidence and friendship among calligraphers and painters from the two sides," said the official of the Binhai County Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism.

Furthermore, the calligraphers from Shanghai and Jiangsu learn from each other to make works on the scene. Upon the Arts Exchange, we will further propel the coordinated cultural development between the two sides, and vigorously promote the cultural exchange in the Yangtze River Delta.

Besides, the Exhibition will last till July 26.
