The trial cruise of the “Shen Lan” Fishing and Processing Ship and the signing ceremony of framework cooperation agreement were held at Wusong Passenger Terminal, Baoshan on the morning of May 19.

Chen Jie, District Governor, and other officials visited the Ship and witnessed the signing of the "Strategic Cooperation Agreement" among the District Economic Committee, the Miaohang Town People's Government and Shanghai Chonghe Industry Group Co., Ltd.

According to Chen Jie, the Ship invested by the Group has an important eco-social significance to extend from the development of living marine resources to high-tech equipment, deep processing, biological R&D, global trade, brand channels and related supporting services from the perspective of the entire industry chain, which is highly consistent with current industry base and planned industry direction of Baoshan.

The Group is a comprehensive management firm with R&D of special marine equipment technology and development of characteristic marine industry, with its business scope covering deep-sea fishing, far-sea aquaculture, ocean mining, etc.

In terms of deep-sea fishing, the Group, based on the introduction and digestion of international advanced technology, invests an international advanced and professional deep-sea fishing and processing ship that is the first one inChinaafter more than ten years of tech R&D. Through extension of industry chain, the Group involves fishing of living marine resources, efficient shipboard processing, rear-end high-value production and processing, and related tech R&D.

The Group, the District Economic Committee and Miaohang Town sign a framework cooperation agreement. The Group will give priority to office headquarters, sci-tech R&D, brand sales and other high-quality projects in Miaohang, and work with the government to build the Research and Marketing Center for Pelagic Organisms Health Care and Medicine and the East China Headquarters.

The above-said three parties will co-work with relevant scientific research institutes and universities, introduce high-level talent teams around industrialization and application innovation of living marine resources, build R&D centers for high-value utilization and sale centers for health products and drugs, and form a demo marine organism industry cluster, and strive to form industry clusters with RMB10 billion assets, in a bid to provide a China-based plan for global high-quality proteins and to present major strategic projects of international resources as well as guidelines and path-breaking attempts in a new round of development of deep-sea fishing to the fullest.
