Tiger lily means the flower to mothers in Chinese traditional culture. With the opportunity of rural revitalization, Tangwan Village, Luojing Town, Baoshan, as the first batch of Shanghai rural revitalization demonstration villages, builds the first garden themed on tiger lily and entitled the Garden   of Flower to Mothers that has more than 100 varieties of tiger lily in its tens-of-thousands-of-square-meter area. Besides, tiger lily blooms in May and June, thus blooming to the fullest now.

Widespread in the Tang and Song dynasties, tiger lily is usually planted in the backyard that is the residence to family dependents and mothers. The backyard is located in the north of house, so the mother is respectfully called Beitang or Xuantang. Therefore, the people address tiger lily the flower to mother.

Close to the intersection of Hutai Road and Huxin Road, the Garden is located at the entrance of Tangwan Village. As the first garden themed on tiger lily culture in China, it plants more than 100 varieties of tiger lily, and owns landscaping boardwalk, flower bridge, tiger lily field, themed sculptures, scenic river-way, flower belt under the trees, flower greenhouse, demo flower field, etc.

Lush forests, clear rivers and a vast expanse of farmlands foster the flowers to mother in traditional Chinese culture. Applying courtyard economy, Tangwan   Village grows a large number of tiger lilies on various sides, to make itself a garden of tiger lily; and its Tiger Lily Cultural Center has turned into a carrier to spread the knowledge of tiger lily and carry forward the culture of mercy and filial piety.

The villages of Tangwan, Haixing, Huahong, Xinlu and Yangqiao Village in Luojing Town will form a five-village cooperation model to develop ecological brands, great health and extensive education. In the future, the families can start from Tangwan Village that focuses on maternity-infant health, then go fishing in Haixing Village, go farming in Huahong Village, do a research in Xinlu Village, and enjoy leisure farms in Yangqiao   Village. Moreover, a mechanism involving villagers, government-enterprise cooperation and public-private operation will be built up to activate endogenous power of rural development and promote sustainable industry development.
