Fronius (China) Co., Ltd. opened its new office at Boill E-intelligence Valley of Shanghai Industrial Park of Robotics (SIPR) on June 24, 2019, which marks the opening of a new chapter of Fronius in the upgrading of China’s manufacturing industry.

The officials and guests attending the opening ceremony included Fan Shaojun, Deputy Chief of the CPC District Committee and District Governor, Su Ping, Standing Member of the CPC District Committee and Deputy District Governor, Lisa. Kronreif, Deputy Consul of Commercial Affairs Office of Austrian Consulate General in Shanghai, Mrs. Strauss, CEO of Fronius (International), and Tong Yanjun, CEO of Fronius (China).

At the ceremony, Fan Shaojun and Mrs. Strauss, CEO of Fronius (International) jointly unveiled the headquarters of Fronius China. The officials and guests participated into the launching ceremony and took a group photo.

In his speech, Su Ping warmly welcomed more excellent enterprises and professionals in field of robots and intelligent equipment to develop in Baoshan, and said that Baoshan would go all out to be a good servant to provide a better business environment and a better human-living environment, so as to build itself into a hometown to robot and intelligent equipment innovation and entrepreneurship, a fertile ground to integration and development of secondary industry and tertiary industry, and a paradise to common development of talents, enterprises and communities.

Professor Wu Yixiong, the representative of scientific research academies, Qian Hui, a principal of Fanuc Shanghai, the representative of SIPR partners, and Cao Li, a principal of YASKAWA Shougang Robot Co., Ltd., the representative of cooperation partners, delivered speeches at the ceremony, respectively.

In recent years, Baoshan has closely complied with the requirements of high-quality development, made every effort to polish the “Four Brands” in Shanghai, and accelerated the construction and development of the important bearing area of strategic emerging industries and the best practice area of urban functional transformation. The cruise industry, robot and intelligent equipment, new materials, new-generation information technology, biomedicine, life and health and other emerging industries are booming and gradually become an important support for Baoshan industrial system.

At present, Baoshan has gathered nearly a thousand representative enterprises, with a total asset scale of nearly RMB100 billion. It has focused on supporting SIPR as the main carrier to accelerate to build a model of agglomeration and development of Chinese robot industry. By now, SIPR has gathered a number of star enterprises, such as Fanuc, YASKAWA and Fronius. Through 3 to 5 years of efforts, Baoshan strives to build robots and related industrial clusters valued as RMB50 billion.

Opened today, Fronius (China) is the only subsidiary of Fronius (International) in Chinese mainland, and has built a Chinese headquarters in SIPR with complete functions, such as R&D, experiment, warehousing, logistics, and office and conference, which is conducive to deeper participation in the process of China’s automobile industry approaching new energy, lightweight and Internet. Moreover, Fronius (China) further improves the intelligent equipment industrial chain of SIPR, and will join hands with other industrial partners, like Fanuc, to achieve to settle down in Baoshan, make innovation, expand the market, share dividends, and harvest healthy growth and everlasting honor.
