After presenting 18 fierce competitions in five days, the 2019 CBA Summer League and Cross Strait Yangtze River Professional Basketball Club Challenge were rounded off on July 28. Thousands of fans gathered in Baoshan to witness the birth of the champion of the League.

Yao Ming, Chairman of the Chinese Basketball Association and Chairman of CBA Corporation, Wang Hong, Chief of the CPC Baoshan District Committee and Chairman of the Shanghai Basketball Association, Li Wenhui, Director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, Wang Lixin, Deputy Director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, Luo Wenhua, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Sports Bureau, Chen Xiaojie, Deputy District Governor of the Baoshan District People’s Government, and other officials and guests, attended the closing ceremony.

At 19:30 on July 28, the final competition was staged as scheduled. Jiangsu Dragons and Zhejiang Golden Bulls presented the final competition at the Basketball Hall of Baoshan Sports Center for the honor of the Strongest in the Summer League. Like a hot knife cutting through butter, Jiangsu Dragons has smoothly won the competition with a score of 73 : 68. Wu Guanxi from Jiangsu Dragons played it excellently to lead to win the victory, and won the MVP of this Summer League.

Moreover, the champion team of the first-stage competition of the Yangtze River Delta U12 Elite Competition for Men was determined. And the Taishan Team ofTaiwanwon the first in the group at the finals, and would continue to fight for the champion of the Yangtze River Delta U12 Elite Competition for Primary School Students.

During the half-time break of the finals, a public welfare program centering on refuse sorting was held.

The Summer League this year, which has been fully adhered to that the Cross Strait professional teams treat each other with due respect by playing basketball, has been successfully completed and has furthered the connections between the basketball teams at both sides of the Taiwan Straits through the sports culture exchange platform. At the same time, the Yangtze River Delta School Basketball Elite, Basketball Carnival, the Yangtze River Delta Youth Basketball Summer Camp, basketball public welfare activities, etc., are held to popularize basketball and boost the brand construction of Baoshan Basketball  City.

In addition, the 2019 CBA Draft will be held at the Smart Bay Park, Gucun Town, Baoshan on July 29. After a few days of training, the 61 draft players will be selected by CBA Club or not? And who will be the best? Let’s wait and see!
