Baoshan Kicks off Agricultural Products Fair at 2025 Shanghai Cherry Blossom Festival Tourism Promotion Conference

In a bid to strengthen regional cooperation and bolster the development of distinctive industries and tourism inpartner regions, the Office of Cooperation and Exchange Affairs of Baoshan District kicked off the Agricultural Products Fair at the 2025 Shanghai Cherry Blossom Festival Tourism Promotion Conference at Gucun Park. The eventwas held from March 28 to March 31,aiming to integrate consumption-driven support with cultural tourism initiatives and was attended by officials including Wang Zhongqiu, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Qujing Municipal Party Committeeand Head of the QujingPublicity Department, and Chen Huiqing, Deputy Governor of Baoshan District.

The fair showcased the unique cultural tourism resources and premium agricultural products from Qujing City, Weixi County, Yecheng County, and Pulandian District in Dalian. Exhibitors highlighted the diverse and enchanting natural and cultural landscapes of their regions, presenting specialized tourism routes, folk traditions, and ecological agricultural resources. Their live presentations invited Shanghai residents to experience the allure of “poetic journeys”.

A representative from the Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center under the Culture and Tourism Bureau of Weixi Lisu Autonomous County noted, “We are proud to present a wide array of intangible cultural heritage-related products from Weixi. We warmly welcome our friends from Shanghai to experience our authentic heritage projects and enjoy the tranquility of our rural lifestyle beyond the urban bustle.”

A representative from the Culture and TourismBureau of Yecheng County stated, “As Yecheng is renowned as the ‘Hometown of Walnuts,’ we have brought along a selection of walnut-based cultural products. We have also introducedall ourtourism routes.”

Following the principle of “complementary strengths and mutual benefits”,these partners have been promoting Baoshan’s cultural tourism within their local markets, further enhancing Baoshans regionalinfluence.

A spokesperson from the Qujing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism commented,“Through initiatives such as the ‘Cherry Blossom Passport,’ we are jointly promoting Baoshan’s tourism offerings across various scenic spots and events in Qujing, ensuring a dynamic exchange of resources and market opportunities that leads to mutual success.”

The event also featured captivating ethnic performances and local specialties, providing visitors with an immersive encounter with the diverse cultural charm and development stories of these regions.

Since the inception of its cooperation with the partner regions, Baoshan has remained dedicated to driving regional coordination and common prosperitythrough multidimensional partnerships.
