On the afternoon of September 28, the 2024 Shanghai Cruise Culture and Tourism Festival officially opened at Shanghai Wusong Paotaiwan Wetland Forest Park. This Cruise Culture and Tourism Festival takes “Meet Cruise” as the main line, and carefully planned three sections: "Beauty of Waterfront, Trendy Tesco, and Leisurely Tour of Baoshan", and more than 20 cultural, commercial and sports tourism activities, showing Baoshan’s unique urban features and cultural heritage in an all-round way, and telling the touching story of Baoshan cruise tourism. Deng Xiaodong, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and District Head, Cheng Meihong, member of the Party Group, Deputy Director and first-class inspector of Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism, Sun Jianping, President of Shanghai Services Federation, and district leaders Hu Baoguo, Xu Huawei, Ding Li and Shen Tianzhu attended the launching ceremony.

At the event, the participating leaders jointly launched the 2024 Shanghai Cruise Culture and Tourism Festival.

Baoshan’s brand-new outdoor cultural tourism brand-Shanghai Tent Music Seasons started simultaneously. The inaugural Shanghai Tent Music Seasons will seamlessly integrate local characteristic resources, such as cruise tourism and rural tourism, through a "tent + n" approach. This initiative aims to create an outdoor celebration that harmoniously blends camping, music, and culture.

To effectively promote the expansion and enhancement of cultural tourism consumption, Baoshan has collaborated with local scenic spots and accommodation providers to innovatively launch the “Tour Baoshan with a Cruise Ticket” initiative. At the event, the preferential coupon product of global tourism resources-”Tour with One Ticket” was released, and tickets were given to the first batch of experiencers.

During the ceremony, the RV Campsite Service Committee of the Shanghai Modern Services Federation was inaugurated in Baoshan. This initiative aims to enhance the local camping and RV economies, thereby contributing to the improvement of quality and efficiency within Baoshan’s tourism industry. The new edition of Baoshan Tourism Map in Chinese and English was released. The official launch of the Hand-in-Hand Plan for college students’ cultural tourism services has infused vibrant youthful energy into the development of Baoshan’s cultural tourism. Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism signed a cooperation framework agreement with Shanghai Animation and Cartoon Association.

At the conclusion of the event, the port concert was magnificently presented, with the Voice of Power band delivering a captivating and romantic audio-visual experience for the attendees.

This year’s Shanghai Cruise Culture and Tourism Festival, in conjunction with the revitalization of Wusong Riverside, has adopted “Meet Cruise” as its central theme. The festival is thoughtfully organized into three segments: Beauty of Waterfront, Fashion Shopping, and Leisurely Tour of Baoshan. It features over 20 vibrant activities, including tent music seasons, a float parade, and a port concert. The event aims to foster an engaging atmosphere encapsulated by the spirit of “everyone will be happy if everyone joins,” effectively stimulating enthusiastic participation and enhancing the overall festival experience. In the future, Baoshan aims to leverage festivals as a platform to transform its high-quality cultural tourism resources into key attractions within cruise culture and tourism. This initiative will foster a synergistic relationship between cruise tourism and global travel, while rapidly developing the Shanghai International Cruise Resort as a premier international gateway for cruises and maritime activities.
