“New Voyage” Party Building Campaign Kicks Off at Baoshan
On the afternoon of July 16, Baoshan District held the launch ceremony for the “New Voyage” party building campaign. This initiative aims to strengthen party leadership to improve quality and efficiency in emerging sectors, innovate grassroots governance, and stimulate new momentum for industrial, spatial, and governance transformations. These efforts are crucial for accelerating the development of Baoshan’s “six key industries” and transforming Baoshan into a beautiful, convenient and safe district rich in cultural atmosphere. Key attendees included Huang Hong, Director of the Social Work Department of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Municipal Non-public Economic Organizations and Social Organization Work, Sun Yu, Deputy Director of the Social Work Department of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee, Li Chenhao, Secretary of Baoshan District Party Committee, Lu Yiyi, Deputy Secretary of the Baoshan District Party Committee, Gao Lu, member of the Standing Committee and Director of the Organization Department of the CPC Baoshan District Committee, Gu Jin, Vice Chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the Baoshan District People’s Congress and Chairwoman of the Baoshan District Federation of Trade Unions, as well as Shao Rong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Committee and Chairman of the Trade Union of Sinopec Shanghai Oil Products Company.
At the event, Huang Hong officially announced the launch of the “New Voyage” party building campaign. Following this announcement, all attending leaders jointly pushed the lever to ceremoniously commence the campaign. In his speech, Li Chenhao highlighted that Baoshan’s “New Voyage” party building campaign represents a proactive effort to strengthen party building among new business forms and working groups. This initiative is a crucial step toward ensuring comprehensive coverage of the Party’s organizational system. He emphasized the importance of maintaining the correct direction in party building for emerging areas, guiding the healthy and orderly development of new economic organizations, social organizations, and employment groups. Li stressed the need to accelerate the comprehensive coverage of party building in these emerging areas and to improve the work pattern through top-down linkage, coordination, and overall effort. He also underscored the necessity of enhancing the leading role of party building in emerging areas, leveraging the exemplary role of party organizations and members. Li called for the swift establishment of a new party-building model in emerging areas characterized by distinctiveness and effective leadership. At the ceremony, the updated version of “Baoshan Community Connect” was unveiled. This enhanced platform aims to significantly improve urban governance and party-building efforts in emerging sectors, fostering an inclusive online community where everyone can participate, contribute, and benefit from services. Party and Labor Union Building Conference Office for New Business and New Employment Groups was inaugurated to systematically advance party-building efforts in these sectors. The first batch of empowerment projects, encompassing all Party service centers in emerging areas, was introduced. Additionally, Baoshan District launched new employment group and trade union stations, unveiling the first batch of 30 stations. To better coordinate party building efforts for transformation and development, the “New Voyage” Party Building Working Mechanism for “Two Enterprises and Three New Groups” was unveiled. To enhance the promptness and effectiveness of healthcare services, Baoshan District has integrated medical, health, and volunteer resources, launching the Party Member Volunteer Escort Service. This initiative aims to better serve community residents and new employment groups by facilitating access to diagnosis and treatment resources. Additionally, a Party and Labor Union Building Alliance for the freight and online car-hailing industries has been established to strengthen party-building efforts within these sectors.
