On June 5, the 2024 Shanghai International Carbon Neutrality Expo in Technologies, Products, and Achievements (CNE 2024) kicked off at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. Spanning over 100,000 square meters, the expo brings together more than 600 companies from 14 countries and regions.

Baoshan District, as an important administrative division-level exhibitor, has set up a nearly 700-square-meter pavilion (Booth No. E4E01) to showcase its achievements in building a functional area for the green and low-carbon supply chain together with 16 prominent enterprises in the green and low-carbon sectors in the region, which has emerged as a highlight of the expo.

Green and low-carbon enterprises in Baoshan have showcased their state-of-the-art technologies, innovative devices, and latest products in the green and low-carbon field at the expo. Their exhibits feature cutting-edge low-carbon technologies and sustainable solutions presented through physical displays, process explanations, and interactive Q&A sessions, drawing a significant number of visitors.

The first day of the expo was filled with a plethora of exciting activities including forum speeches, new product launches, and on-site roadshows. Let’s delve into some highlights!

MCC Inspection and Certification delivered a speech on “Analysis of the Current State of Green and Low-Carbon Development in the Construction Industry and Solution Sharing”.

BY Carbon Neutrality provided insights into the production, application, and market analysis of dry ice.

Singer Ping An made a surprise appearance at the Oatly booth. During CNE 2024, Oatly, an oat drink producer, will hold milk box DIY activities every day, inviting visitors to learn about the recycling value of paper-based composite packaging.

E-C Digital hosted a product launch at the expo, during which it unveiled the JIMU LCA Cloud SaaS product and the CBAM TOOL product. The event was attended by Wang Qianqian, Deputy Director of the Energy Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization Division of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, and Liu Jia, Director of the Green Development Research Center of the Shanghai Economic Information Center. The company also held a roundtable forum, where experts from the steel, non-ferrous metal, and electrolytic aluminum industries and those in LCA discussed trending topics in the low-carbon sector such as carbon trading and carbon market, LCA carbon footprint database, and global green supply chain.

Impact Hub Shanghai and 1.5DO Climate Innovation Lab launched the “Net-Zero Future” Tech Stage at the expo, where eight startup teams specializing in new energy and new materials with innovative low-carbon technologies introduced their green and low-carbon solutions and their potential to contribute to decarbonization across various sectors including industry, agriculture, transportation, and consumer manufacturing.

In recent years, Baoshan District, dedicated to the mission and task of “expediting the development of a green and low-carbon supply chain system” bestowed upon it by the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, has focused on establishing a core functional area for the green and low-carbon supply chain with the Carbon Neutrality Industrial Park as the cornerstone, continuously enhanced the agglomeration and service capabilities of the green and low-carbon supply chain public service platform, implemented support policies that extend beyond the place of registration for green and low-carbon industries, and actively promoted the international recognition of Chinese green and low-carbon standards.
