In order to motivate charity volunteers, Shanghai Charity Foundation and Shanghai Charity Volunteer Service Corps officially launched the selection of outstanding charity volunteers of 2021-2022 in November 2022. Ten outstanding volunteers were selected and awarded with honorary certificates by leaders on site to encourage and commend their selfless dedication to daily volunteer services, public health emergencies and public welfare undertakings for rural revitalization. At the event site, kind-hearted people from all walks of life held up signs and pledged donations, totaling RMB 21.75 million.

Li Chenhao, Secretary of Baoshan District Party Committee, unveiled the charity donation window of "Love in Baoshan, Good Deeds of Ordinary People". The official launch of the charity window of "Love in Baoshan, Good Deeds of Ordinary People" indicates that Baoshan District will further mobilize and guide all sectors of society to actively participate in public welfare and charity activities.

Secretary Li Chenhao said in his speech that charity is not only a measure of a city's civilization but also an important part of a city's soft power. In recent years, Baoshan District has adhered to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the people-centered development ideology. Baoshan has actively promoted charity ideas, extensively explored charity resources, and vigorously developed charity. As a result, the senses of gain and satisfaction among the people have been continuously enhanced. By uniting the efforts of all parties, the District Charity Representative Office has always adhered to the purpose of "caring for the elderly, supporting children, assisting students and helping the poor", actively expanded fundraising channels, and sends more warmth to disadvantaged groups. Focusing on improving quality and efficiency, the office has vigorously carried out brand assistance projects such as "Repaying Kindness: Camaraderie in United Front Work" and "Thanksgiving Action", making charity brands deeply rooted in people's hearts. It has innovated the service content, and set up the charity donation window of "Love in Baoshan, Good Deeds of Ordinary People", and the "Growth Agreement Plan" for community young volunteers. Full support has been given to the education and elderly care construction in western cooperative areas such as Yecheng and Weixi. The range of benefits to society has been expanded. Baoshan has passed on charity ideas, fully promoted charity culture into communities, buildings, institutions, schools and villages, and carried out charity activities such as "One-Day Donation", fostering the concept of charity in all sectors of society. It is reported that in 2023, the District Charity Representative Office raised RMB 32,254,600 in charity funds and carried out 36 different charity projects. The expenditure on charity assistance reached RMB 32,367,800, benefiting 1,310,300 people.

In this year's "Love under the Blue Sky" Charity Campaign, 27 public welfare activities will be carried out jointly by the organizers, benefiting 31,000 people. Among them, "10,000 People Donating to Help 10,000 Families" street fundraising activity has become one of the most important parts of "Love under the Blue Sky". On the morning of January 13th, a branch venue will be set up for the activity in Songnan Town. The activity will be launched simultaneously in 581 villages and residential communities in Baoshan District.
