Participant Enterprises from Baoshan for the Coming 6th CIIE
The 6th China International Import Expo (CIIE) will be held in Shanghai on November 5 to 10, 2023.
As the opening of the Expo has entered the countdown, Baoshan District has been fully prepared with all the work well-arranged. Over the five sessions of the CIIE, Baoshan has, centering the goal of “getting better and better”, strived to deliver a Baoshan solution of open, interconnected, and shared development.
In the past five years, the Baoshan sub-group of the Shanghai trading group has continued to improve its service for the CIIE. Actively implementing the tasks of the Shanghai trading group, it has organized 39 exhibitor enterprises and 3,899 purchasing enterprises to participate in the CIIE, contributing a purchase transaction of over USD 1.11 billion. In addition, it has successfully bid for 6 import Expo supporting activities.
During the 1st CIIE in 2018, the Baoshan sub-group completed a purchase amount of USD 33.92 million, while in the 5th CIIE in 2022 the figure increased by over 7 times to reach USD 281 million. Over the past five sessions, the procurement transactions generated by the Baoshan sub-group achieved an average annual growth of 52.6%.
In 2018, the number of exhibitors of the Baoshan sub-group was 4, and the figure expanded to 10 in 2022 and exhibitors from Baoshan are distributed in the 6 exhibition areas.
Fully employing the platform effect of the CIIE, Baoshan has pushed forward its initiative of “Building a Technologically Innovative Baoshan”. It has held many parallel activities in support of the CIIE, which at the same time helped publicize the image of Baoshan. For example, in 2022, Baoshan held the Baoshan Investment Promotion Conference themed “Science and Technology Innovation and Change in Baoshan”, an event that appealed to global talented minds to discuss cooperation in efforts to create a better future together.
After reviewing the past five sessions, let’s take a look at the enterprises from Baoshan that will participate in the 6th CIIE.
Ouye Industrial Products Co., Ltd.
Ouye was registered in 2020 and made its official debut at the third CIIE. Over the past three years of development and application of advanced digital intelligent technology and supply chain technology, Ouye has successfully established a digital intelligent, low-carbon and international O2O industrial supply chain ecological platform—Obei. Thalys Medical Technology Group Co., Ltd.

At the Expo, Eieling will, upholding the theme of “New Era, Shared Future”, present its new product—Liverscan Mobile suitcase version at the booth, ushering in an era of easy liver checking. Professor Zheng Yongping, founder and chief scientist of Eieling, is the founding head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He has been listed among the top 2% of the world’s top scientists for three consecutive years and has rich experience in scientific research and industrialization. Other core members of the company are all from related fields of the industry and boast extensive experience. On August 29, 2015, Eieling was selected in the Forbes Asia 100 To Watch 2023. Egger Pumps (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. Egger Pumps is a Swiss family-owned company founded in 1947. After 76 years of development, the company has grown into an important manufacturer of special centrifugal pumps in the Swiss machinery industry, with leading technology in the design and manufacture of centrifugal pumps. To better serve the Chinese market, in September 2012, Egger Pumps Shanghai was established in Baoshan District. The company has participated in four CIIE sessions. Egger Pumps focuses on the design and production of high-quality centrifugal pumps for conveying media with high solid and gas mixture under high-temperature and high-pressure conditions, which are widely used in the petrochemical, sewage treatment, and automobile production industries, especially well-known chemical enterprises in home and abroad for solving challenging conditions. This year, Egger continues the design style of its booth as in previous sessions, with the main design element of the cable car in Switzerland’s Scherang Peak, which is known for its safe and smooth operation, a character consistent with Egger’s pursuit to create more efficient, environmentally friendly pumps that has a longer service life. IKEA (China) Investment Co., Ltd. This year, IKEA China set the theme of its booth at the CIIE as “Assembling the Future Together”, which conveys that IKEA hopes to open dialogues with guests from all walks of life through CIIE, jointly explore the multiple possibilities of building a better home and a better future and create value through cooperation in its pursuit to be a leader in creating a better quality of life, a driver of the sustainable development of the planet, and a co-creator worthy of the trust of the Chinese market. IKEA will present two new products in their world debut and China debut separately: the FÖSSTA collection specially designed for the Chinese Lunar New Year and the Nytillverkad collection in celebration of its 80th birthday. Roshen Confectionery Corporation Roshen Confectionery Corporation is one of the world’s largest confectionery manufacturers. It was founded in 1996 by Petro Poroshenko, the former President of Ukraine, and is headquartered in Kiev, Ukraine. Roshen endeavors to provide its customers with products for any taste and occasion at an affordable price. In line with the strategy of “benefiting the people”, the company strictly controls the cost of products and invests in closed-loop manufacturing. It has acquired and integrated 8 confectionery factories, all in Europe, and built its own raw material production bases, modern warehousing and logistics centers, and a global sales team. The company boasts 200,000 square kilometers of honey harvesting area in Zambia, Africa, which generated an annual output value of tens of millions of dollars and brought job opportunities and income for more than 300 local farmers. Mpundu has adopted a design of the pyramid shape, which is the most legendary architectural element of Africa, to show an exotic style at the expo. The tribal wood honey will be presented for the first time at the CIIE this year, whose unique taste is sure to conquer the taste buds of the visitors. Research by the Institute of Apicultural Research, CAAS has found that tribal wood honey can inhibit Helicobacter pylori growth, which can help people improve their health. This unique character makes the tribal wood honey stand out among other honeys. Shanghai CC-Source Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd. Jamaica Blue Mountain has participated in the CIIE for the sixth consecutive year. Jamaica, as one of the countries along the route of the Belt and Road Initiative, has actively participated in it and established a close cooperative relationship with China. At this year’s event, four series of Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee powder products will be presented, each with its connotation of the brand—simplicity, quality, uniqueness, and respect. The brand, which was born in Jamaica and developed in China, is a symbol of the mutually beneficial and long-term cooperation between China and Jamaica.
