ISTECH, an Up-and-Coming Enterprise in the New Energy and Intelligent Connected Vehicles Industry
In September 2023, the list of winners of the 2023 Dianjin Award—Selection of New Energy and Intelligent Connected Vehicles Industry Chain was officially announced. IS Electronic Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (ISTECH), headquartered in Shanghai Industrial Park of Robotics in Baoshan District, was honored with the Excellent Perception System Supplier Award in the Excellent Enterprise Award category.
Earlier in the same month, the 2023 “Innovation China” Young Entrepreneurs List—G60 S&T Innovation Valley of Yangtze River Delta U30 & Star G60 Entrepreneurial Talent List were revealed, honoring 60 innovative and entrepreneurial talents. Gui Fan, general manager of ISTECH, was among the Star G60 list.
Founded in 2015, ISTECH is a technology-oriented enterprise that has grown up in Baoshan District. It is mainly engaged in the fields of intelligent driving, intelligent cockpit, visual assistance, high-precision positioning, etc. to serve both the OEM market and aftermarket. At present, ISTECH is the core supplier of top-tier car manufacturers in China such as SAIC Motor, Great Wall Motor, NAVECO and Shandong Baoya, with the market share of some products below L3 automation exceeding 90%. In the domestic OEM market, ISTECH holds a leading position among startups in terms of mass production scale of products at and below L3. Over the past eight years, ISTECH has obtained dozens of patents for utility models and inventions as well as software copyrights. It has also obtained the certifications of SDRI Enterprise and High-Tech Enterprise and a number of automotive grade system certifications. In addition, ISTECH was awarded the title of “Top 50 Enterprises with the Most Investment Value in Shanghai” in 2021.
According to Gui Fan, ISTECH will continue to view scientific and technological innovation as the key engine for the sustainable development of manufacturing companies in the new era, continuously strengthen basic research, improve the original innovation ability, and plan to increase the market share of its products below L3 to rank among top three in China within three years, while further contributing its wisdom and strength to achieving greater self-reliance and strength in science and technology.
In recent years, a plethora of intelligent manufacturing technology enterprises, ISTECH for example, have taken root and grown in Shanghai Industrial Park of Robotics. Liu Hong, general manager of the park, said that it will continue to improve the software and hardware environment and provide premium services for enterprises in a proactive manner.
