Juyuanqiao Village of Yuepu Town

Recently, List of the Third Batch of National Key Villages of Rural Tourism was published on the official website of Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the PRC. Juyuanqiao Village of Yuepu Town was also ranked in the list.

Yishuijian Flower Ecological Garden isa special flower industrial park built by Juyuanqiao Village. It is being transformed into a modern flower theme park that integrates flower planting, innovative agriculture demonstration, scienceeducation, gardening and floral skill training, tourism, and leisure and entertainment. Tourists can appreciate over a thousand kinds of flower products such as hydroponic flowers, indoor green plants, and artistic potted plants as well as experiencing DIY floral skills to build their own micro ecological gardens.

Additionally, the village has an agricultural tourism complex named Baoshan Fruit and Vegetable Park that integrates fruit-picking, science education, agricultural production, skill demonstration, and agricultural product display and sale. Staying in this garden village and keeping away from the noisy city, you can experience the tranquility and comfort of the countryside in the south of the Yangtze River, as if you were living in a “heaven of peace and happiness” described by the ancient poet Tao Yuanming. Additionally, you can also experience various innovative farm works.

The annual Baoshan Flower Festival held in Yuepu Town creates an unforgettable tourism experience for visitors who can have a close look at the flower sea, walking through the fruit and vegetable park or having a rest in the beautiful yards. Dahuang Village of Yanghang Twon

Dahuang Village is located in the intersection of North Outer Ring and the North-South Elevated, close to Metro Line 1. It is a typical new suburban countryside in the ecosphere of Shanghai Outer Ring and also a green gateway to Yanghang Town. The village covers an area of 1,400,000 m2 and has 153333.33 m2 land after the expropriation for buildingOuter Ring green belt. It has one naturalstockaded village (Farmer New Village, No. 268 Lane, Shuichan Road, with 340 residents of 84 households).

In recent years, Dahuang Village has adhered to the concept of “building a demonstration village of ruralrevitalization under the guidance of the Party” and implemented the plan of improving the living environment of common people so as to realize the goal of building “ecological Dahuang” and building Dahuang into the largest ecological and sports village in the north suburban Shanghai. The village was honored Shanghai Demonstration Village of Beautiful Village Project, Shanghai Pilot and Demonstration Village of Rural Community Construction, 2017 and 2018 Baoshan Model Village, Baoshan Demonstration Village of Safe Community, Baoshan Advanced Village of No Illegal Construction, and Baoshan “Good Party Branch in My Heart”.

In order to implement the project of living environment improvement and beautiful village construction, Dahuang Village rebuilt the rural roads of 2691 meters with the road hardening rate reaching 100%. It also built one new public toilet and one waste-sorting garbage chamber and placed nearly 30 waste-sorting bins. Five outdoor football fields with an area of 8000 m2, a 600-square-meter indoor badminton hall, a 370 m colorful fitness footpath, and a 500-square-meter fitness dance square were also completed. Currently, the village has more than 60% of green area coverage. The ecological sports village has basically taken shape. 

Apart from actively building itself as an “model ecological village in the Outer Ring of Shanghai”, Dahuang Village also endeavors to become the first featured theme park that targets youngsters and children, holds child-parent activities, and integrates cutting-edge science and technology display, science exploration and education, and fashionable sports experience in Shanghai and even across the country. On the basis of ecological environment protection, the village will extensively transform the ecological effect to economic and social effect and focus on building itself into the largest ecological sports village in north suburban Shanghai, serving as a sci-tech and sports base for youngsters and leisuresports place for residents in Shanghai.

Tangwan Village of Luojing Town

Tangwan Village, located in the northwest of Luojing Town, is one of nine demonstration village of rural revitalization in Shanghai and also ranked in the List of the Second Batch of National Key Villages of Rural Tourism. Due to the distinctive ecological advantages and unique scenery of countryside in the south of Yangtze River, the village has been honored 2020 National Key Villages for Tourism and 2020 Ideal Destination for Shanghai Residents. It is also a place where you will have a sense of homesickness.

The Mother Flower Cultural Park of Luojing Town is the first tiger lily-specialized garden in China and is located in Tangwan Village. With the policy of rural revitalization and rural living environment improvement, the village guided villagers to plant tiger lily, and develop tiger lily food and creative cultural products to form a tiger-lily-themed industrial chain and help surrounding people increase their incomes and become rich.

In the Mother Flower (Tiger Lily) Cultural Park in Tangwan Village, you will see lush forests, clear rivers, and a large area of arable lands which are covered by the traditional Chinese mother flower tiger lily. It is the first tiger-lily-themed park in China. Cooperating with Professor Zhang Zhiguo, tigerlilyexpertsfrom Shanghai Institute of Technology, the village has planted over 100 varieties of tiger lily and built sight-seeing wooden plank walks, sight-seeing flower bridges, tiger lily flower fields, theme sculptures, sight-seeing rivers, under-forest flower belts, flower greenhouses, and demonstration flower fields. It is expected to become a popular tourism destination in the Yangtze River Delta and Shanghai in May and June when the tiger lily is blooming. In June 2020, Tiger Lily Cultural Festival was held in Tangwan Village. Creative cultural products such as canvas bags and wind chimes and featured agricultural products such as tiger lily wine and dry tiger lily flowers were displayed in the festival. The festival is another brand activity held in Tangwan Village apart from Hiking Competition in Beautiful Village and Baoshan Lake Fresh Crab Festival.
