The District Government and Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University signed a framework agreement on enhancing strategic cooperation on June 16, in order to speed up the health construction of Baoshan, promote the balanced layout of regional medical resources and enhance the medical service capacity. Thus, Zhongshan Hospital is entrusted with the overall management and the comprehensive improvement of medical care, teaching and scientific research of Wusong Central Hospital in Baoshan.

Wusong Hospital of Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University was officially unveiled on the morning of June 22.

Wang Hong, Chief of the CPC District Committee, Zhou Zhijun, Deputy Chief of the CPC District Committee, Xu Jing, Standing Member and Organization Director of the CPC District Committee, Chen Xiaojie, Deputy District Governor, and other officials, attended the unveiling ceremony.

The unveiling ceremony was held at the southwest gate of Wusong Central Hospital on North Tongtai Road, marking that Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University officially starts the entrusted management of Wusong Central Hospital.

The high-end management team from Zhongshan Hospital, and the medical cadres from Baoshan who are familiar with the reality of Baoshan and have rich management experience, form a new leadership rank attending the ceremony.

Congratulating Wusong Central Hospital on its new stage of development, Wang Hong pointed out that it is an important part of the health construction of Baoshan and an important layout of the 14th Five-year Plan to run a hospital well. Thus, the new leadership rank will work together to lead the hospital to a higher level and improve the medical level in Wusong.

Wang stressed that Baoshan has a large population of more than 2 million residents, and the people are in urgent need of high-quality medical resources. Baoshan is eager for more excellent medical and health talents, attracts excellent leading experts from Zhongshan Hospital that constantly develops outstanding talents and advanced teams for Baoshan’s medical system, and turns Wusong Central Hospital into a cultivation base for Baoshan medical and health system.

According to Wang, Baoshan has a bright future of health development. As the top hospital in China, Zhongshan Hospital embraces advantages in terms of diagnosis and treatment technology, department construction, scientific research capabilities and so on. Zhongshan Hospital is expected to keep improving the medical level and business capabilities of Wusong Central Hospital, to make an overall promotion, and to form a regional medical consortium, so that the residents of Baoshan can enjoy more and better medical resources to the fullest.

According to the framework agreement, Zhongshan Hospital will rely on its own strong forces in medicine, teaching and research, send out management teams and medical technicians to help Wusong Central Hospital, set up a scientific and realistic modern hospital management system, build a high-level medical team, develop a number of specialty specialties, and enable Wusong Central Hospital to meet the first-class hospital evaluation standard through 3-5 years.
