Shanghai Baoshan Green Apple Kindergarten is founded in 2010 and located in Dahua region. It is a public first-class kindergarten under the dual leadership of the District Education Bureau and the People's Government of Dachang Town. At present, there are three campuses: Zhonghuan kindergarten, Wutong kindergarten and Oubo kindergarten.

In the process of continuously promoting preschool education reform and independent education experiment, Green Apple Kindergarten has established its concept of running a kindergarten, that is, “giving students a chance of ‘independence’ and opening up their endless ‘possibilities’, so as to rejuvenate every child's vitality”. The kindergarten respects the “youth” of life, enlightens the “quality” of independence and cultivates the “achievements” of happiness. It focuses on creating a “youth quality” education culture, so as to cultivate lively and healthy children with good character of “being able to take care of themselves, showing self-confidence and exploring independently”. Based on the standardized and high-quality foundation of running a kindergarten and developing, we deepened the curriculum practice, explored the quality self-evaluation mechanism of the health care, upbringing and education process, promoted the cultural consciousness mechanism of double quality innovation, and constructed a self-consistent, self-integrated and self-assessed family-kindergarten co-education mechanism.

In recent years, with the care and support of superior leaders and the efforts of all faculty and staff, the quality of our kindergarten management has been continuously improved. In December 2012, after only two years of running the kindergarten, we successfully became a first-class kindergarten in Shanghai. In 2017, we passed the re-inspection of the municipal first-class kindergarten with a high score of 92 points, and strived to become the district-level demonstration kindergarten. Finally, we got good evaluation from experts: a well-balanced kindergarten with high quality. We have shown ourselves to the whole country on behalf of the characteristic kindergarten at the Shanghai Preschool Education Annual Conference for three consecutive rounds. In 2013, We were rated as “a good school worthy of trust”. We have won many honors such as the Individualized Learning Base for 100 Teachers’ Quality Improvement Project in Baoshan District, Baoshan District Trainee Teacher Standardized Training Base, Baoshan District Teacher Professional Development Demonstration School, District Preschool Education Connotation Development Base, Shanghai “14th Five-Year Plan” Family Education Guidance Experimental Base, Municipal Parents’ School Characteristic Campus, District Public and Private Kindergarten Pairing Base, Shanghai Shanda College Health Care Trainee Teacher Base, Preschool Education Trainee Teacher Base and so on. In addition, since the kindergarten was established, we have been rated as excellent in the evaluation of district-level public institutions for 10 consecutive years.
