Shanghai Baoshan Experimental Primary School was founded in 1903 by Mr. Yuan Xitao and Mr. Pan Hongding. Yuan Xitao was examiner who passed the provincial imperial examination in Qing Dynasty and famous educationist. The school has cultivated and attracted talents since its establishment in the past over 100 years. The famous Chinese painting master Mr. Zhu Qizhan was a student of the school in the early year. The children’s literature writer Mr. Chen Bochui once taught here. Currently, under the leadership of Baoshan District Education Bureau, the experimental school has carried out research on personality education, moral education, and artist friend system for many years, making the school full of humanistic feelings and forming profound and positive school culture and value orientation of respect, equality, and contribution.
