Yangxing blow molding prints are the representative of folk art inheritance and development. With a long history, they embody the essence of folk arts and crafts, and are rich in historical, cultural and regional characteristics. Their picture conception draws upon paper-rolling lantern and cross-stitching, focusing on the expression of the overall artistic idea. Using blown paper instead of copper, zinc or wood as materials for making prints, it is easier to learn, bringing in broad prospects for the popularization of printmaking, which tend to be obscure and not very popular.

Yangxing blow printmaking has become increasingly mature in its own development and has achieved impressive results, with more than 450 works winning municipal, national and international awards. It is reputed as one of Shanghai’s "100 Suburb Treasures". Many prints have been exhibited in Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Czech Republic, Hong Kong, Macau and other countries and regions, and many are collected by Shanghai Art Museum, Shanghai Art Association, Shenzhen Art Museum, etc. It has been included into China’s national middle school art textbooks. In the series of activities and events to celebrate the first China Cultural Heritage Day and Shanghai Folk Art Fair, Yangxing blow printmaking also won the "Innovation Development Award".
