In 2023, Baoshan District achieved a regional gross domestic product (GDP) of RMB 180.605 billion, an increase of 1.7% compared to the previous year. Total fixed asset investment across the district reached RMB 61.903 billion, an increase of 9.9%. Of this, industrial investment amounted to RMB 11.471 billion, a decrease of 19.9%, while real estate development investment was RMB 36.202 billion, an increase of 22.0%. The total industrial output value of above-scale enterprises reached RMB 254.023 billion, a decrease of 4.5%. The total retail sales of consumer goods amounted to RMB 99.112 billion, an increase of 20.4%. The per capita disposable income of residents was RMB 84,898, up by 7%, outpacing the rate of economic growth.
