As fresh green floods in spring, COVID-19 has been gradually controlled to coincide with the greatest season of afforestation.

Wang Hong, Chief of the CPC District Committee, Chen Jie, Deputy Chief of the CPC District Committee and District Governor, Li Ping, Chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the District People's Congress, and Ding Daheng, Chairman of the CPPCC District Committee, headed toward Haijiang Greenland under the construction to plant trees on the morning of March 18, in order to thoroughly implement Xi Jinping's thought about ecological civilization and conscientiously implement the instruction of "Co-construction, Co-governance and Sharing" put forward from the 4th Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee.

Cui Liping, a first-level inspector of the Shanghai Municipal Greening and Urban Appearance Bureau, and other municipality-level officials attended the tree planting activity which were also attended by the district’s officials, including Du Songquan, Su Ping, Zhao Yi, Wang Yiqun, Chen Yongxian and Xu Jing.

Coming to the tree-planting site early in the morning, Wang Hong and other officials took the initiative to take temperature by the staff, put on rain-shoes, and got into the planting area. As a group, Wang Hong, Chen Jie, Li Ping, Ding Daheng and Cui Liping held shovels, planted seedlings and rammed soils, planting a camphor tree and a Yoshino cherry. The other officials made groups with three or four members, and planted more than 120 trees such as camphor tree, pomelo, Chinese tallow tree, Yoshino cherry, osmanthus tree and citron after nearly an hour, so as to solidly contribute to the construction of ecological Baoshan.

Before the tree planting, the district’s officials listened to the introduction of green-land construction. Located at the southeast of the intersection of Tongji Road and Baoyang Road, Haijiang Greenland is next to Powerlong Plaza. The U-shaped green belt is long and narrow on the whole and covers a total land area of 39,985.4 square meters. Baoshan focuses on the protection of forest belt along Tongji Road which is integrated with such functions as image shaping, ecological display and landscape tour, polishes the integration among green space, city and commerce along Haijiang Road and Baoyang Road, and matches it with recreation, sports, games and leisure. Due to Powerlong Plaza, the commerce-based integration will be emphasized; afforestation will be applied to weaken the boundary of landscapes; and more gates will be set up to naturally link up with green space and commerce.

As an important landscape along Tongji Road, the overall landscape of Haijiang Greenland highlights cherry blossoms to build a concentrated site of flower enjoying in the central area of Baoshan and a green barrier of Shanghai.
